In 2023, Duke Energy helped launch The Grid, the first digital space built to support small and minority-owned businesses in Spartanburg County. In Summer 2025, that platform was expanded and relaunched as the Power Up Spartanburg online community and mobile app - offering a more interactive experience for our small businesses and entrepreneurs, including a new standalone app on Apple and Google devices.

This enhanced community is presented through the generosity of Duke Energy.

What is Power Up Spartanburg?

Power Up Spartanburg is a county-wide initiative led by OneSpartanburg, Inc. and funded by Spartanburg County. Its mission is to transform Spartanburg into the #1 place in the U.S. to start, run, and grow a small business.

This bold, collaborative movement brings together partners, programs, and resources to support small businesses at every stage.
